Non-alcoholic recipe

Pomegranate Lime Fizz

Unsweetened pomegranate juice and fresh lime make a ruby fizz with a measured touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 90 ml chilled unsweetened pasteurized pomegranate juice
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • 10 ml plain 1:1 simple syrup (equal weights white sugar and water)
  • 90 ml chilled plain soda water

Preparation

Make 1:1 simple syrup by dissolving 100 g white sugar in 100 g water; cool and refrigerate. Add 90 ml unsweetened pasteurized pomegranate juice, 20 ml lime juice and 10 ml cold simple syrup to a highball glass. Stir briefly, fill with ice, add 90 ml cold soda water and lift once with a bar spoon. Garnish with one lime wheel and four pomegranate arils scattered over the upper ice cubes.

Glassware

Highball glass with cubed ice

Garnish

1 lime wheel and 4 pomegranate arils scattered over upper ice cubes

History

Pomegranate, lime and soda appear in contemporary published mocktails, including a 2026 version using coconut water. This Mixology formula instead uses unsweetened pomegranate juice and measured plain syrup, without coconut water. The shared ingredient pairing does not establish a single inventor or exclusive originality for the house ratio.

Mixology View

Unsweetened pomegranate juice gives a more predictable starting point for balancing lime and syrup. Expect a tart, bright drink, but sweetness and acidity depend on the selected juice; this is an expert desk estimate, not a tasted result.

Ingredient note

Use unsweetened pasteurized pomegranate juice; check the product label for added sugar or flavourings.
